Architecture in a video of an upcoming summer hit from Venezuela – can this be? Yes, it can!
Summer is finally here and so we love to listen to some hot new, inspiring, easy and touching songs here at our studio. By accident we found Chino y Nacho’s new song “Andas en mi cabeza” from Venezuela. After Enrique Iglesias’s new release Duele el Corazon this is the second song full of South American rhythm this summer!…and we really do hope it will come to Europe soon!
We were very impressed by the location in Chino y Nacho’s video and even more astonished when we found out what it really is.
The building in their video is located in Barquisimeto, Lara, Venezuela, is the Barquisimeto Cathedral and was built between 1953 and 1968 by Jahn Bergkamp as his first major project. Its exterior shape is an upside down flower. This unconventionally shaped cathedral is a hyperbolic paraboloid with two wings connected by a central tower. The Roman Catholic cathedral is one of the most modern cathedrals in Latin America, considered original in style.
So wherever you are, you should start your summer with some cool Latin Beats. We’re pretty sure that both of them will accompany us this summer…
