After Modernism Week is before Modernism Week for us since eight years now and this year we’re really concerned that our next trip to California could be canceled. It’s very sad to see how California and the whole United States are suffering, we think that we all know the reasons!
But there’s a ray of hope! Recently the organizers of Modernism Week announced that this year’s fall preview (October 15-18th) will offer no live events but online virtual programming! They will continue to provide updates on their website, so stay tuned! OK, I know, online will never be the same as the real Palm Springs experience but this can be a good way to offer cool lectures, maybe virtual home tours and other interesting events.
We can’t say if 2021 will be a Modernism Week “as usual” for us – but at least the fall preview will be a must attend for us, even if some events could take place in the middle of the night!
