During our one week long journey along the Amalfi Coast in Southern Italy we were very curious about Oscar Niemeyer’s auditorium up in Ravello. Having a legend in mind at first sight we were very impressed by the building and the setting but by taking a closer look at the poor quality of materials, workmanship and utilization of the complex we realized the really bad end the complex came to. Modern architecture has always been a problem to realize in Italy so far but this one is really a missed opportunity…
Unfortunately till now we’ve never been to Brazil to visit his work in Brasilia or Rio de Janeiro.
To catch something of it’s beauty watch this.
